This looks great! A nicely detailed background that blends it and the character together well (something I find really hard to do). I would maybe blend the blue of the water in a bit more with the other colors (maybe more of a less saturated purple?) but other than that, the color choices are really great. Love the purple-ish shadows against the orange dirt. Awesome job! Shame this doesn't have more attention.

The colors....the detail......the lineart....the texture with the brush to give it that roughness of a retro hand drawn animation........how do you even get to this point man. I have a feeling I won't know for a while lol
