You replicated the style really well! The characters are a little hard to see with the background, so I would've maybe made those darker or something, but it doesn't really detract from the piece that much. Looks great!

This looks great! A nicely detailed background that blends it and the character together well (something I find really hard to do). I would maybe blend the blue of the water in a bit more with the other colors (maybe more of a less saturated purple?) but other than that, the color choices are really great. Love the purple-ish shadows against the orange dirt. Awesome job! Shame this doesn't have more attention.
